Biography
Viktória Stanová is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and heads the Cardiovascular Biomechanics Laboratory at the IUCPQ-UL, which is equipped with a left heart simulator. Her research focuses on the experimental characterization and optimization of cardiac valve devices, including their hemodynamics and durability. In addition to standardized testing, this characterization incorporates a patient-specific component to tailor the design and selection of devices to the structural and functional properties of each patient.
